Patsy Holtom Memorial Bursary
This bursary was established by James Holtom and Kodey Whitehead to honour the contributions and legacy of Patsy Holtom. The bursary will provide financial assistance to Indigenous persons pursuing certification in the project management field.
Patsy’s life was defined by compassion and a commitment to helping others. She was the director of a residential home that supported people on their journey to sobriety, allowing her compassion to shine. She treated every individual with empathy and understanding, while also recognizing their humanity beyond their struggles. Her passing left a lasting impact, as the people she helped viewed her as a mother figure, taking it upon themselves to create a plaque in her memory to honour the wonderful woman she was.
The bursary will be awarded on the basis of Indigenous identity, pursuit of a project management certificate or credential, and financial need for those above 29 years of age residing in Saskatchewan or Manitoba. The value of the award may vary from one recipient to another. As applicable, it will cover the cost of registration, a relevant training, and testing fees. Application is required.
